Baltimore

Charm City. Baltimore Maryland, has the unique distinction of being one of America’s largest cities while also having the traits of a charming Maryland small town. Known to many as a gateway to Washington, D.C., due to the many domestic and international flights that serve the Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport, Baltimore also stands out as a world-class city in its own right. Sports fans descend upon the city for its professional sports teams, baseball’s Baltimore Orioles and football’s Baltimore Ravens. While taking in a game or enjoying the game day atmosphere, the place to see and be seen is the Inner Harbor. Surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, the Inner Harbor is the place to catch a charter fishing boat or sailing tour, or to board historic ships that are now living exhibits. Also on the Inner Harbor is the must-see National Aquarium.

For fans of the arts, director John Waters is from Baltimore as well as writer Edgar Allan Poe.  Customized tours are available to fans searching for more insight into those legendary figures.

Baltimore is a family-friendly get-away that also serves as a gateway into the nation’s capital. Amtrak’s MARC Train is a convenient way to get from the Baltimore-Washington Airport to the Heart of D.C.
